Faith Partners has been experiencing some big changes in 2008. For starters, we have brought on two new staff members and two interns to join our team:
Laura Kostrikin and her family are new to Colorado Springs from the San Francisco Bay area where she spent eleven years managing an international non-profit organization. She is fluent in Russian, German and English. As Faith Partners new Mentoring Program Coordinator, Laura desires to work with people and improve their lives. She plans to stay with Faith Partners indefinitely.
Carin Leon is a Masters of Social Work student at Newman University where she will graduate this May with an MSW (Masters of Social Work). In the future she plans to gain licensure and expects to work with families affected by domestic violence and those in need of crisis intervention. As an intern, her experience in the mental health and disabilities fields is a great backdrop for co-facilitating our Human Development classes while she provides ongoing follow-up for our client families.
Melodie Mack is breaking away from her family of nine(!) during the days to help with Faith Partners. She is a biological, adoptive, and foster mom of seven children. She is currently a Regis University Masters in Counseling candidate. As an intern at Faith Partners she will provide ongoing therapeutic care to select families while under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and her professors at the university. Melodie hopes to continue with Faith Partners after graduation, expecting to carry the ‘Faith Partners torch’ to another county within Colorado. |
